Naming Submitted Files
MacIntosh users have the luxury of not using a filename extension (the letters after the dot). However, for this class, all Mac users should also use a filename extension. Using this protocol will keep all of Paul Smith's files together throughout the semester, making it possible to check for completed lessons. Enrollment in this class has reached numbers such that it is not practical to hunt for misnamed files, so please follow this direction. When you send me email, be sure to include a meaningful description in the Subject line. If you do not include a descriptive Subject line, I may delete the message without even reading it. It can also result in your message ending up in Junk mail. This is directly related to the numerous virus attacks that I receive daily. I will not read emails that do not have a course Subject line message! Be sure you remember this. Also, do not use humorous personal names in your email message. Always use the name that you registered with for this class. Use the same email account that you used when you signed up for the class list-serv.
