This course is not intended to make you an expert in the use of any one
specific software application. Rather, the intent is to make you comfortable
using a
variety of applications to accomplish tasks. Equally important will be your
learning how to get help with new software and hardware.
Certain basic skills are needed to maximize your efficiency as a computer
user.
These are emphasized, and enhanced with specific exercises. The extent you wish
to pursue
additional computer use is up to you. Necessary tools for becoming
proficient will
be presented.
You are encouraged to ask questions about assignments, class
topics, or any issues dealing with computer use. Take advantage of these
opportunities.
If you have a computer problem at home, post questions to our List-Serv for
others to see and respond to. Real life issues make terrific dialogue, and
provide good learning experiences. Do not be bashful!!!!
