Email from the class will be checked during normal office hours (see above). It will NOT be checked after hours nor will it be checked on weekends. This course's entire content is online. Late or missed assignments normally receive no credit or grade (see grading policy) It is up to YOU to contact the instructor regarding problems. Any exams will be administered over the Internet.

This course is not intended to make you an expert in the use of any one specific software application. Rather, the intent is to make you comfortable using a variety of applications to accomplish tasks. Equally important will be your learning how to get help with new software and hardware.

Certain basic skills are needed to maximize your efficiency as a computer user. These are emphasized, and enhanced with specific exercises. The extent you wish to pursue additional computer use is up to you. Necessary tools  for becoming proficient will be presented.

You are encouraged to ask questions about assignments, class topics, or any issues dealing with computer use. Take advantage of these opportunities. If you have a computer problem at home, post questions to our List-Serv for others to see and respond to. Real life issues make terrific dialogue, and provide good learning experiences. Do not be bashful!!!!
