- Learn how to create bulleted and numbered lists in your web pages
Lesson Tasks:
- Create a web page. Title it Characters, Images, and Lists (both in the <title> and on the page itself.
- Make the document title LARGE (i.e., <H1>), centered on your page.
- Insert 8 special characters
into your web page. (Examples and instructions) If you ever have a need to insert Greek characters into a web page, read about inserting Greek characters into a web page.
- Download any different
6 (six) images from the Internet. You may save any image on the Internet by right-clicking on the image and choosing save target or save picture as (menu choice may vary). Several sites are also listed below that have free clipart (images) for downloading.
- Create a table (2X3 cells
or 3X2 cells) in your web document. Place your downloaded images into
the table, one image per cell. (Read how) Be sure to use an alt="" statement with each image. This provides information for users that can't or don't want to view graphics in a web page.
- Beneath the table containing your images, add a bulleted list and a numbered list that
contain the 6 filenames of your images. Each list will have the same 6 names. (How to create lists)
- Save your html file, named according to our class instructions, and your images, in your als3203 folder. In order to see the table with the images, the files must be in the same location. Otherwise, you will see empty boxes in your web page. Be sure to use relative paths to your images.
- Email me your html file
and the six images as attachments to a single message. [You can attach many files to the same message]. If you have the capability, zip all of them into a single file. That will bypass Spam filter blocking.
